Working with created materials

A length of wood is an ideal way to display found feathers...
 Baskets created from natures vines...
Sewn with waxed linen and cotton thread...
 Paper and palm bark...
 Wooden journal cover...
 Written in ink and pencil...

 Leather journal cover...
 Not so perfect pottery...
 Natures treasures...
 Beautiful bark...
Hand made paper -  love the bounty of God's creation for us to use and enjoy...

Its mango time

 In our intense tropical heat...
The mango's go mad. My mother's advice when building our home was not to build it close to the  mango trees. We did not heed her advice and she was right - mango's splatter on the pavers (stick like super glue) and large falling mango's need hard hats to avoid being knocked out (well sort of). The upside is great shade and Smurf the dog thinks they made great balls to play with!...

Wire & wood patterns

The pattern and shape of rusted wire and broken bits of wood plus the colour of the pot I find very inspiring...

Into the New Year

Loving my Christmas gift of a round towel from the Beach Peopled - thanks Kim...
The top of this old vintage tin reminds me to sail into the new year with faith, hope and the wind of the Holy Spirit in my sails...
And making a hot chocolate after being ill over the past week is a simple pleasure to enjoy...
